MoodJot - PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: 08.18.2025
INTRODUCTION
MoodJot ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal data is handled when you use the MoodJot application.
DATA COLLECTION AND STORAGE
MoodJot is designed to protect our users' privacy at the highest level. Our application:
- Does not store any user data on our servers
- Does not collect or sell any personal information
- Stores all user data locally, only on the user's own device
- Does not track or analyze user behavior
- Does not use any advertising networks or analytics providers
All journal entries, mood data, and other content you create in the application are stored only on your device and remain under your control.
DATA BACKUP AND SECURITY
The security and backup of the data you create within the application are entirely your responsibility. We recommend using the in-app backup features to prevent data loss in case of a device change, app uninstallation, or device failure.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
MoodJot is designed for users of any age group. As the application does not collect any personal data, it does not pose a specific risk to children's privacy.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
MoodJot does not use any third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking tools. However, certain features of the app rely on external Artificial Intelligence (AI) providers (for example, via services like OpenRouter).
When you use these features, your inputs (prompts) and the AI-generated outputs (completions) are transmitted to the AI provider for processing. These transmissions are sent anonymously, without personal identifiers, but may still include the content you choose to enter.
According to the information available, some AI providers may log or use submitted data to train and improve their models. If an AI provider does not publish a specific data policy, users should assume that submitted prompts and completions may be stored or used by that provider.
MoodJot itself never stores or shares your data. Any data processing performed by third-party providers is subject to their own policies and practices.
By using AI features, you agree that your submitted content may be processed by third-party AI providers under their own terms and policies.
POLICY CHANGES
Changes to this Privacy Policy will be notified through application updates. Policy changes will take effect upon the release of the new version.
DISCLAIMER
